On June 10, 2014, Sears Methodist Retirement System, Inc. (the “Debtor”) and certain of its affiliates filed voluntary petitions in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Texas seeking relief under Chapter 11 of the United States Bankruptcy Code. These Chapter 11 cases were assigned to the Honorable Stacey G. Jernigan and jointly administered under case number 14-32821-SGJ.
On August 11, 2014, the Court entered an order authorizing the Debtor to retain GCG, Inc. as its notice, claims and solicitation agent.
On March 6, 2015, the Court entered an order (“Confirmation Order”) confirming the Debtors’ Second Amended Joint Plan of Reorganization Pursuant to Chapter 11 of the Bankruptcy Code (the “Plan”) dated January 15, 2015.
